SUMMARY:Potters Wheel Taster Sat 1st August 11am
DESCRIPTION:This 90-minute potters wheel taster will introduce you to the basic principles of making a small pot.  You will be shown how to prepare the clay\, centre the clay onto the potters wheel and how to manipulate the clay to create a form.  This class is taught by our professional Pottery Teachers who have years of experience and teaching.  They will give step-by-step instructions\, perform demonstrations and support you in the process.  You will get two 400g balls of clay to create two pots. \nOnce the class is finished\, the work needs 5-7 days to dry out before going into the kiln for its first firing to 1000oC.  After that we will glaze your pieces in colours you have chosen during the class and your work is then re-fired to over 1200oC.  Once cooled and wrapped\, we will contact you for collection.  The whole process takes approximately 2 weeks. \nFor your safety we advise that no open toed shoes are worn\, long hair is tied back and nails are short if possible. We will provide aprons but please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting clay on. Please pass this information onto everyone you are booking places for. \nYour workshop will be run by our Pottery Teacher Christine. \nPlease note these Potters Wheel Tasters are for aged 16+ only.  We run classes specifically for children during the school holidays. \nWorkshop vouchers are available for this workshop. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Eden for a late night sip & paint session on Friday 31st July at 7pm! \n\n\n\nDuring this 2 hour session you will paint a piece of pottery of your choice (bisque ranging from £9- £40) using our professional grade glazes. Once dried\, we will clear glaze your item and kiln fire it so that it’s ready to be collected from a future specified date! Included is a dedicated table for your group\, and advice fro our experienced pottery assistants! \nPrice of ticket includes two drinks tokens and your studio fee. Drinks tokens can be used for a variety of drinks including the following: prosecco\, a selection of mocktails\, a pot of tea\, or a coffee. We will also be serving a variety of cakes to see you through the night! \nNEW FOR JULY 2026 !! Add a grazing board to your table to elevate your painting experience!
