Got a degree in art or never held a brush before come and paint with Karen. \nIn this session you will be guided step-by-step to create a miniature watercolour landscape painting incorporating a range of techniques. (See photo) All materials provided for this class. \nThis session is very informal and relaxed. SUMMARY:Adult & Kid’s Potters Wheel Taster Thurs 30th July 1.30am
DESCRIPTION:This session is aimed at couples of one adult and one child.  Children must be aged 7+.  During the 90 min class\, each couple will share a potters wheel\, with the child going first to make a pot and then swapping places. \nOur Pottery Teacher Vikki will guide the children and adults through the process of preparing\, centring and manipulating the clay to create a pot each.  Adults will need to help the children if necessary\, although Vikki will obviously be on hand to assist. \nParticipants can choose a glaze colour and staff will glaze the finished pots for you.  Finished pieces can be collected 2 weeks later. \nIf you have any questions regarding this workshop please email Vikki directly on vikki@edentearoom.com before you book.

SUMMARY:Gel Plate Print\, Stitch\, & Embellishment Sat 8th Aug 1pm
DESCRIPTION:Join Victoria from Little house of Victoria and learn the art of printing without a press. Full step by step tuition is provided in this workshop where we will first create a printed background on fabric with gel plate printing. Natural\, botanical and abstract themes will be explored. Then we will select areas to stitch that will enhance the print\, with stitch techniques such as needle weaving and other traditional but simple stitching techniques such as couching. You will select the colour palette from a wide range of threads and beads\, all materials will be available to take with you to complete the project at home if needed. \nGel plate printing is very easy to do\, and I will guide you through each step. The print will be an abstract print\, so there is no artistic skill required. The random areas of the print will then suggest areas to work into\, and we will discuss this together\, or you have free rein to be as creative as you like. \nThis workshop also involves a few simple stitches\, and I will guide you through the steps. It is also suitable for advanced stitchers as it is possible to be creative with the printing and embroidery. The embroidered panel can be applied to a number of objects\, and you will have the materials to make yours into a needle case or a drawstring purse. \nThis workshop is suitable for beginners as all tuition will be provided. \nKit Contents: \n\nThe materials included for you to embroider in the session\, and to take away with you:\nFabric panels\, calico and cotton.\nStranded cotton embroidery threads\nPure wool threads.\nBeads and embellishments.\nJohn James embroidery needles.\n\nAll other materials that you will need will be for use within the studio\, and you will have your kit to take home to finish the project. \nThe workshop will take place at Eden Tearoom & Galleries in Newburgh\, and it is a fully accessible ground floor venue. DESCRIPTION:Get creative\, have fun and learn a new skill by coming along to one of AllyBobsKnit’s popular chunky wool blanket arm knitting workshops. \nYou will knit your very own chunky knit blanket from 2kg of 100% pure unspun merino wool to take home – perfect as a statement piece on your sofa\, chair or bed. The final blanket will be approximately 30” x 50” in size. \nJust choose your workshop date from the drop-down list and then select your chosen colour of wool to use during the workshop – take a look through the images to find your favourite colour! \nNo knitting experience or needles necessary! I will teach you step-by-step how to arm knit your own blanket. \nPlease wear short sleeves to keep your arms free for knitting and remove any jewellery so it doesn’t snag. \nPlease book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment – there are limited places with only 8 people in each class. \n£99 Per Person \n  \nClick Here To Book Your Place

DESCRIPTION:Join Helen Worthington from Evendawn Arts in this ‘Exploring Watercolour’ Workshop. \nThis is a perfect taster workshop for anyone who’s always wanted to try watercolour painting but have been too nervous to! It’s also great for those with a small amount of experience to practice looser painting styles and build confidence. \nThe aim of this ‘Exploring Watercolours’ class is to have FUN\, and to get past the anxiety many people experience when approaching watercolour painting! There is absolutely NO DRAWING involved\, so you can simply enjoy playing with the paints\, without stressing over the outcome.  \nYou’ll explore how to use a basic set of colours and see the way they blend and harmonise on paper\, along with using different types of brushes and some more unusual tools to create fascinating effects. \nThere will be a selection of simple and enjoyable exercises\, which will offer you a great basis in watercolor painting. You may then want to explore these topics further at later date. \nThis is not the type of class for those with more advanced watercolour skills\, or those wishing to learn how to draw/paint landscapes or ‘formal’ types of work. \nAll materials included in this session. \nPlease ensure you bring something suitable to carry your work home in – an A4 folder or envelope will be fine.  \n  \nPlease note that if you wish to use Eden’s first floor Tearoom before or after the workshop\, even for drinks and cake\, you must book a table via the website as availability cannot be guaranteed.  \nPlease note that we have a clear non-refundable & no transfer policy to ensure that we cover our costs and protect the ongoing viability of the workshop. Within the workshop we will teach you how to make/refill your own candles and have the confidence to create your own large 250ml scented soy wax candle to take home and enjoy.
