SUMMARY:Open Studio Access Tue 28th July from 9:30am
DESCRIPTION:Our newly extended Open Studio Access allows you to come and use the pottery workshop facilities to create your own makes.  This can be hand-building projects or on the potters wheel.  You can come for 2\, 4 or 6 hours.  This is not a taught session so although our Pottery Teachers will be on hand for support and advice they will not teach one-to-one. \nIf you book for 2 or 4 hours please email workshops@edentearoom.com to let us know what time you will be attending so we can ensure there is enough room for everyone. \nFrom February 2026 we have a new arrangement starting. Open Access will run every Tuesday from 9.30am – 3.30pm. You must buy your clay from us (cost covers clay\, glazes and 2 firings). Hourly Open Access rates have been reduced.

DESCRIPTION:Join Anita from wick-ed Candle Refills for this 2 hour workshop where she will show you the simplest and quickest way to produce luxury natural soy wax scented candles and provide everything you need to do so. Within the workshop we will teach you how to make/refill your own candles and have the confidence to create your own large 250ml scented soy wax candle to take home and enjoy. (RRP approx. £35) We have a small but exceptional collection of fragrances for you to choose from\, all paraben free quality fragrance oils\, speciality blended for us by a UK supplier. \n  \nPlease note that if you wish to use Eden’s first floor Tearoom before of after the workshop\, even for drinks and cake\, you must book a table via the website as availability cannot be guaranteed. \n  \nWe work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. We therefore have a clear non-refundable & no transfer policy to ensure that we cover our costs and protect the ongoing viability of the workshop. DESCRIPTION:Join Helen Worthington of Evendawn Arts in this Acrylic ‘Peter Puffin’ Painting workshop. \nBefore starting the project\, Helen will explain everything about the paints\, brushes and techniques to be used during the session\, so this is a perfect opportunity to try acrylic painting if it’s new to you! If you’ve used them before\, you’ll be familiar with how versatile and fun they can be! \nOn a sturdy piece of cream mountboard\, you will be given a pre-drawn outline of ‘Peter Puffin”\, so you don’t need to worry about drawing him. You can then enjoy painting in all the details to create a lovely medium-sized finished picture to keep. \nAcrylic paints\, once dry\, are completely permanent! Therefore\, please ensure you wear suitable clothing which won’t matter if the paint gets onto it! \nPlease don’t forget to bring something with you to carry your projects home in – a small lidded tray or box will be fine. \nAll levels of experience welcome (Age 12 upwards). DESCRIPTION:This workshop is for children aged 7+ to experience the potters wheel.  You will be guided and helped by our Pottery Teacher Vikki on how to prepare the clay\, fix it to the wheel and how to form a basic pot using just your hands and fingers. \nDue to the strength needed to manipulate the clay and operate the foot peddle this class is not suitable for under 7’s.  Please don’t book a younger child onto this class as they will not be able to participate on the day. \nIf your child has additional needs and will require extra support you will need to be prepared to get involved.  Please email Vikki directly to advise her – vikki@edentearoom.com \nParents and guardians are welcome to stay in the room to watch the class or they may to visit our Tearoom\, although we cannot guarantee availability without booking first.
