DESCRIPTION:Just in time for al fresco dinning\, join our Pottery Teacher Vikki for this slab and pinch pot workshop to create your own grazing platter.  The finished size will be approximately 30cm x 20cm with the option of pinching a small pot for dipping oil.  You can add texture\, words and mould the slab into whatever shape suits your needs\, including flat spaces\, folds and rims. \nOnce dried and fired\, our Pottery Teachers can glaze your piece in colours of your choice and work will be refired to over 1220oC to help make it more robust and food safe. Finished creations can be collected at a later date. \nPlease note we cannot refund or transfer any bookings unless your original places are filled.  If you wish to use our Tearoom you must book via our website as we cannot guarantee availability.

SUMMARY:Late Night Open Studio Access Fri 14th Aug From 5pm
DESCRIPTION:This is an evening Open Studio Access which allows you to come and use the pottery workshop facilities to create your own makes.  This can be hand-building projects or on the potters wheel.  You can come for 2 or 4 hours.  This is not a taught session so although our Pottery Teachers will be on hand for support and advice they will not teach one-to-one. \nIf you book for 2 hours please email workshops@edentearoom.com to let us know what time you will be attending so we can ensure enough room for everyone. \nFrom February 2026 we are changing the structure of our Open Access sessions. You must buy your clay from us (the cost includes your clay\, glazes and 2 firings). Sessions fees will are being reduced. \nPlease note our Tearoom closes at 5pm and refreshments will not be available during this session.

SUMMARY:Kid’s Potters Wheel Taster Fri 14th August 2.30pm
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is for children aged 7+ to experience the potters wheel.  You will be guided and helped by our Pottery Teacher Vikki on how to prepare the clay\, fix it to the wheel and how to form a basic pot using just your hands and fingers. \nDue to the strength needed to manipulate the clay and operate the foot peddle this class is not suitable for under 7’s.  Please don’t book a younger child onto this class as they will not be able to participate on the day. \nIf your child has additional needs and will require extra support you will need to be prepared to get involved.  Please email Vikki directly to advise her – vikki@edentearoom.com \nParents and guardians are welcome to stay in the room to watch the class or they may to visit our Tearoom\, although we cannot guarantee availability without booking first. Please remain on the premises during the kid’s class. \nWe work hard to keep our workshops affordable and value for money\, therefore we cannot transfer or refund any bookings unless your original place can be filled.
