DESCRIPTION:If you have enjoyed one of Karen’s regular watercolour Wednesday classes\, this is one four follow on classes offered here at Eden. \nJoin local artist Karen Buckels to learn techniques for painting floral landscapes using watercolour paint. \nYou will need to have previously attended one of Karen’s classes where the technique of watercolour is taught\, if you haven’t please book on the 1pm class first. \nIf you have your own watercolour materials please do bring them along. \n  \nPlease note that if you wish to use our Tearoom after the workshop you must book via our website as we cannot guarantee availability. \nWe work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. SUMMARY:Beginners Potters Wheel Daytime Course Weds 1st July - 22nd July 11am-1pm
DESCRIPTION:This 4 x session daytime course is an introduction to making pots on the potters wheel. You will learn how to prep\, centre\, manipulate and turn the clay to create your own forms. Our Pottery Teacher will focus on teaching you how to pull cylinders to a workable height.  You will also be shown basic turning techniques to finish your pots off before firing. \nThe course will run on four consecutive Wednesdays starting on 1st July until 22nd July\, from 11am until 1pm.  If you cannot attend a session due to prior commitments or illness\, unfortunately we are unable to provide additional sessions to catch up. \nThis course is suitable for complete beginners as well as anyone who needs a complete refresher on techniques. Adults only. If you have any questions relating to this course you can contact our teachers directly on workshops@edentearoom.com. \nPlease note we cannot offer a transfer or refund unless your original places are filled. SUMMARY:Open Studio Access Tue 30th June from 9:30am
DESCRIPTION:Our newly extended Open Studio Access allows you to come and use the pottery workshop facilities to create your own makes.  This can be hand-building projects or on the potters wheel.  You can come for 2\, 4 or 6 hours.  This is not a taught session so although our Pottery Teachers will be on hand for support and advice they will not teach one-to-one. \nIf you book for 2 or 4 hours please email workshops@edentearoom.com to let us know what time you will be attending so we can ensure there is enough room for everyone. \nFrom February 2026 we have a new arrangement starting. Open Access will run every Tuesday from 9.30am – 3.30pm. You must buy your clay from us (cost covers clay\, glazes and 2 firings). Hourly Open Access rates have been reduced.
