DESCRIPTION:Join Anita from wick-ed Candle Refills for this 2 hour workshop where she will show you the simplest and quickest way to produce luxury natural soy wax scented candles and provide everything you need to do so. Within the workshop we will teach you how to make/refill your own candles and have the confidence to create your own large 250ml scented soy wax candle to take home and enjoy. (RRP approx. £35) We have a small but exceptional collection of fragrances for you to choose from\, all paraben free quality fragrance oils\, speciality blended for us by a UK supplier. \n  \nPlease note that if you wish to use Eden’s first floor Tearoom before of after the workshop\, even for drinks and cake\, you must book a table via the website as availability cannot be guaranteed. \n  \nWe work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. SUMMARY:Gel Plate Print\, Stitch\, & Embellishment Sat 8th Aug 1pm
DESCRIPTION:Join Victoria from Little house of Victoria and learn the art of printing without a press. Full step by step tuition is provided in this workshop where we will first create a printed background on fabric with gel plate printing. Natural\, botanical and abstract themes will be explored. Then we will select areas to stitch that will enhance the print\, with stitch techniques such as needle weaving and other traditional but simple stitching techniques such as couching. You will select the colour palette from a wide range of threads and beads\, all materials will be available to take with you to complete the project at home if needed. \nGel plate printing is very easy to do\, and I will guide you through each step. The print will be an abstract print\, so there is no artistic skill required. The random areas of the print will then suggest areas to work into\, and we will discuss this together\, or you have free rein to be as creative as you like. \nThis workshop also involves a few simple stitches\, and I will guide you through the steps. It is also suitable for advanced stitchers as it is possible to be creative with the printing and embroidery. The embroidered panel can be applied to a number of objects\, and you will have the materials to make yours into a needle case or a drawstring purse. \nThis workshop is suitable for beginners as all tuition will be provided. \nKit Contents: \n\nThe materials included for you to embroider in the session\, and to take away with you:\nFabric panels\, calico and cotton.\nStranded cotton embroidery threads\nPure wool threads.\nBeads and embellishments.\nJohn James embroidery needles.\n\nAll other materials that you will need will be for use within the studio\, and you will have your kit to take home to finish the project. \nThe workshop will take place at Eden Tearoom & Galleries in Newburgh\, and it is a fully accessible ground floor venue. DESCRIPTION:Join Helen Worthington from Evendawn Arts in this ‘Exploring Watercolour’ Workshop. \nThis is a perfect taster workshop for anyone who’s always wanted to try watercolour painting but have been too nervous to! It’s also great for those with a small amount of experience to practice looser painting styles and build confidence. \nThe aim of this ‘Exploring Watercolours’ class is to have FUN\, and to get past the anxiety many people experience when approaching watercolour painting! There is absolutely NO DRAWING involved\, so you can simply enjoy playing with the paints\, without stressing over the outcome.  \nYou’ll explore how to use a basic set of colours and see the way they blend and harmonise on paper\, along with using different types of brushes and some more unusual tools to create fascinating effects. \nThere will be a selection of simple and enjoyable exercises\, which will offer you a great basis in watercolor painting.
