Seahorses are such beautiful, colourful and delicate creatures. Join Helen Worthington of Evendawn Arts in this watercolour seahorse workshop, an ideal subject for a watercolour project. A drawing will be provided for you on suitable watercolour paper, so you don’t need to worry about drawing the seahorse yourself. All materials will be provided.
To start with, there will be a ‘warm-up’ exercise with the watercolours we’ll be using, to give you the opportunity to choose/mix your preferred colours, test brushes and different application methods of the paint before we start.
You’ll also be shown how to use masking fluid to ensure there are areas of white paper left to show through after the paints have been used – a useful technique to acquire for future watercolour paintings.
The rest of the session will be the completion of the Seahorse, and you will have produced a medium-sized piece of artwork at the end.
Please don’t forget to bring something with you to carry your project home in – a small lidded tray or box will be fine.
Please note that if you wish to use our tearoom before the class you must book a table via our website as we cannot guarantee availability.
we work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. we therefore have a clear non-refundable & no transfer policy to ensure that we cover our costs and protect the ongoing viability of the workshop. we do appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you cannot attend a workshop and we are happy for you to send along a friend to take your place, we will need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.
