*NEW* Professional Development – Sgraffito Mon 23rd February 11am

This is a new series of workshops we are running aimed at people who are regular makers and have an interest in developing their skills and knowledge. Each session will focus on a different topic or technique. Please email workshops@edentearoom.com if you have any questions regarding these workshops.

Learn the basic techniques of sgraffito in this session. Sgraffito is a decorating technique involving carving through a top layer of coloured slip (liquid clay) to reveal the clay colour underneath. You will be shown the range of tools available to achieve different line weights and textures and given the opportunity to experiment on your own example tile. Simple designs will be provided or you are welcome to bring your own ideas. We will fire and clear glaze any pieces you wish to keep.
