*NEW* Professional Development – Colouring Clay Weds 11th February 1.30pm

This is a new series of workshops we are running aimed at people who are regular makers and have an interest in developing their skills and knowledge. Each session will focus on a different topic or technique. Please email workshops@edentearoom.com if you have any questions regarding these workshops.

This hand-on, skill based workshop introduces the fundamentals of colouring clay using ceramic stains. Attendees will learn how to measure and mix small percentages of colour into porcelain, gaining an understanding of how stains affect clay body tone and strength of colour.

Through guided mixing, participants will create a small amount of coloured porcelain and share results with the group, allowing everyone to compare colours and outcomes. By the end of the session attendees will leave with the confidence and knowledge to begin using coloured clay in their own ceramic work.
