Open Studio Access – Make Time for Pottery

Fancy some uninterrupted time in the pottery studio to work on your own projects? Our Open Studio Access sessions give you the freedom to create at your own pace, using our workshop facilities and equipment.

Whether you love hand-building, throwing on the potter’s wheel or experimenting with something completely new, come along and make something that’s uniquely yours.

You can book 2,4 or 6 hours of studio time.  Our Pottery Teachers will be around to offer advice and guidance, but please note this is not a taught session or one-to-one tuition.

When: Every Tuesday from 9.30-3.30

Choose a length of session to suit you and if its less than 6 hours, drop us an email at workshops@edentearoom.com to let us know what time you’ll be arriving and if you’re handbuilding or will need a potters wheel.

You’ll need to purchase your clay from us, so we know what is going into our kiln. Any clay used that is not purchased from us will be charged Kilnshare prices for firing and the relevant forms need to be completed so we have as much information about the clay as possible.  This helps to avoid damage to our kiln shelves and kiln.  Full 12.5kg bags of Stoneware and Earthenware cost £40, half bags £20 and quarter bags £12. Prices include the clay, glazes and 2 kiln firings for the amount purchased.

If the session or number of hours you’d like to book shows as Sold Out, please email us anyway and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you are planning to use the potters wheel, please bring a large lidded plastic box to store your pots in to keep them damp, so you can turn them at a future session.  You can leave your purchase clay and labelled plastic boxes at Eden subject to our available storage space.
