Modern Calligraphy Workshop Sun 7th July 10am-12.30pm

Following on from the success of their first workshop at Eden, Mellor & Rose are releasing another Modern Calligraphy Workshop, suitable for complete Beginners and Intermediates. Guided by expert tutors; Beverly and Lucy, we will begin by covering the fundamentals of dip pen Calligraphy such as how to hold the pen, using dipping ink, learning the pressures and rhythms that give calligraphy it’s characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower alphabet, how to link letters, first words and phrases- all exciting!
You’ll learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement your calligraphy and lettering on stationery pieces. The second half of the workshop covers how to layout greetings cards, letter up and design a piece of wall art along with luxury stationery items. The 2.5 hour workshop includes a fully comprehensive Calligraphy Box with Starter Kit, Mellor & Rose Calligraphy Workbook, Luxe Stationery items for your Calligraphy.
