Nick Goldsworthy, regular & local ‘artist’ at Eden Gallery will share his experience gained over 50 years of painting UK towns, villages, harbours and country scenes.
A workshop of three consecutive sessions outlining the stages of painting traditional landscapes in ‘Watercolour’
(For – amateurs, novices & beginners alike). A Landscape watercolour workshop with its subject the ‘Cornish Harbour’.
He will demonstrate and guide you through the key stages of producing a successful watercolour painting so that by the end of the workshop you will have completed or majority completed your own ‘Cornish Harbour painting.’
Nick has been a practising artist for over 50 years. He is self taught and is well known, particularly for his Watercolour’s, which depict his favourite Landscape subjects, with that extra detail.
Nick generally paints initially on location, directly from nature, which gives his final subject matter the natural light, true colour and subtle shades that create his distinctive recognisable style.
Materials participants must bring:
- Own Equipment – Watercolours / paints
- Own Brushes / Sponges etc
- Masking Fluids / Pencils /erasers etc.
Course Materials provided for the sessions & included in the cost.
- Hardboard panel for the Watercolour Paper
- Gummed paper
- 1 x sheet of Arches – (Smooth or Not) – Watercolour paper – 300lb
- Water / Pots
- 2b Pencils / Rubbers / sharpeners available to use
- Practice paper
- Paper towels
- Subject images / – example finished painting – subject photos for each participant to work from.
Price £110 – all-inclusive total for the 3 sessions.
The workshops will be run from approx. 10:30am – 1pm, each Thursday. (15th, 22nd & 29th February 2024)
