Kid’s Potters Wheel Taster Thurs 7th August 2pm

This class is suitable for children aged 7 up to 16 only.  Due to the nature of operating the potters wheel and manipulating the clay, younger children would find this class too difficult.

During this class each child will produce one pot on the potters wheel.  They will be shown how to prepare the clay, fix it to the wheel and how to use their fingers and hands to manipulate the clay to form a pot shape.

Once made, participants will be able to choose a colour from those on offer.  Our pottery teachers will glaze the pot in the chosen colour once it has dried and had its first firing. Once cooled and wrapped, you will be contacted to collect.

Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes after the start of the class will not be able to attend as it will disrupt the class too much. Please email our Pottery Teacher Vikki on vikki@edentearoom.com if your child has any additional support needs.  Care givers may need to help if necessary. Parents and guardians must stay on the premises for the class duration. If you wish to use the Tearoom you must book a table via our website as we cannot guarantee availability.
