Join Ita Hicks from Ita’s Natural Essentials in this Emulsified sugar scrub workshop. No experience needed – just bring your curiosity!

If you love the idea of soft, nourished skin with zero greasy after-feel, then this is the workshop for you. In this fun, hands-on session, you’ll learn to make your own emulsified sugar scrub. A whipped-style exfoliator that turns delightfully milky on contact with water. 

We’ll be mixing up plant butters, nourishing oils, and essential oils to create gentle, rinse-clean scrubs that leave your skin feeling like you’ve just stepped out of a spa. It’s a creative calming experience.

What you’ll learn:

• How to emulsified scrubs work and why they feel so luxurious
• The role of butters, oils, emulsifiers and essential oils in your formula
• Ways to customize colour, texture, and scent to suit your skin and your style
• When and why to use preservatives (and why they’re nothing to fear)
• Best practices for safe, hygienic, and joyful skincare making at home 

What’s included:

• All ingredients and tools provided – we’ve got you covered
• Step-by-step printed recipe to take home (it’ll probably get butter on it – that’s normal!)
• Two full-size emulsified sugar scrub, freshly made by you
• A calm, encouraging atmosphere with gentle guidance and plenty of creativity

Safety & Practical info

A few important bits so we can keep things fun and fuss-free:

• Gloves are provided and kindly encouraged. Aprons are optional – we wont judge your outfit either way.
• No snacks during the making part ( sadly scrub and shortbread don’t mix).

• Suitable for ages 13 and up, young makers are welcome with a grown-up

We do appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you cannot attend a workshop and we are happy for you to send along a friend to take your place, we will need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.
