Embroidery Workshop
April 16 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Painting with Thread: Using coloured threads to achieve a painterly effect.
Would you like to learn a new skill and make something beautiful and useful? Join Victoria from Little House of Victoria for a fun afternoon of embroidering.
She will guide you through the basic stitches that are so easy to do. This is achievable for complete beginners as you will learn one stitch at a time with beautiful pure threads. Advanced stitchers will also get a lot out of this unique way of stitching.
The course includes all materials and a kit for you to take home, with some additional extras in there too, as it is an enhanced pack contained in a calico bag that you could also embroider. There will be beautiful quality linen panels and cotton DMC skeins or pure hand dyed wool threads, as well as embroidery needles and full printed instructions. In the 3 hours we will get quite a lot of the stitching done, and every stitch will be demonstrated. There will be plenty of time to practice the stitches, and you will leave with confidence. I will also equip you to finish your project at home.
This workshop costs £38 and is suitable for beginners upwards, even if you are an advanced stitcher, you will still get plenty out of this unique way of stitching. All materials are included and are designed for ease of use. You will be guided through every stage: – Tracing your design onto fabric, the easy way. Or there will be a pre printed template with some designs. – Placing your fabric into the hoop. – Threading the needle, with a very simple method. – Basic stitch styles, which are easy to master. – Following the course, you will have extra support as I will be available by email if you need any further advice, and there are stitch tutorial videos at my website.
The designs to choose from include: Bee, Dragonfly, Blackbird, Hedgehog or Moths
Victoria is a qualified teacher in Art & Creative Practice, and I have demonstrated on many shows at the craft TV channel ‘Create and Craft’ with my branded embroidery kits from ‘Little House of Victoria’,
