Bob Park

Bob has been making pots since 1968, first in Inverness, where he started Culloden Pottery, moving to Greystoke Gill, Cumbria in 1997 and now working from a workshop at his house in Greystoke. He studied ceramics at Harrogate and Bath Colleges of Art and since leaving has made his living as a potter, producing a wide range of individual stoneware. He uses several glazes, primarily Chun, intermingled on each piece to produce rich, colourful surface decorations. Some of which are inspired by the local landscape. Bob is interested in how vines attach to trees and objects, eventually completely covering them and that is what has inspired his works in this exhibition.
