Matcha bowl & whisk stand Sun 6th September 11am

Create your own handmade matcha bowl and coordinating whisk holder in this hand building workshop.  Using a combination of pinching and slab building techniques, you’ll learn how to form a functional pouring bowl and construct a whisk holder designed to help your bamboo whisk keep its shape.

Throughout the session, you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of hand building, refining form and finishing your pieces ready for glazing.  Once fired and ready for colour, you can return to glaze your own pieces or leave instructions for our Pottery Teachers to do it. We have a wide variety of glaze colours to choose from.

The workshop will start with a brief talk from one of our Baristas about the varieties of matcha, with the opportunity to sample taste and ask any questions.
